Our doctors
Dr Charlotte Burton
MB BS MRCGP
General doctor and Menopause. Dr Charlotte Burton trained at Kings College London and worked in hospital medicine with a focus on dermatology, endocrinology, A and E and gynaecology.
Charlotte works as a private and NHS GP and has experience of teaching doctors. She is currently undergoing further training for her DFSRH- Diploma of the Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive Health.
Dr Flora Richardson

Dr Flora Richardson is a General Doctor and sees patients at our Sunningdale Clinic. Having studied at Guys, Kings and Thomas’ University in London and completed her specialist GP training at Frimley Health Trust in 2017, Dr Richardson has also completed a BSC in Nutrition.
Dr Richardson has 4 years experience in an NHS practice as a salaried GP with a role as prescribing lead and also has specialist interests in dermatology and paediatrics. Dr Richardson is a member of the Royal College of General Practitioners.
Dr Emma Smith
MB BCh 2005 University of the Witwatersrand MRCPCH, MRCGP
Dr Emma Smith is a General Doctor see patients at our Sunningdale Clinic. She studied at the University of the Witswatersrand in South Africa and completed her specialist GP training at Frimley Health Trust in 2018. She has a special interest in paediatrics and completed her membership exams in 2015. Alongside her GP work, she also works as specialty doctor in paediatric A&E.
Dr Smith has experience in an NHS practice as a salaried GP. Her other interests are women’s health and dermatology. Dr Smith is a member of the Royal College of General Practitioners and the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health.
Dr Cassie Snadden
MBBS
Dr Cassie Snadden trained at St George’s University of London qualifying in 2012, as well as completing her specialist GP training locally at Frimley Park Hospital in 2017. She is a GP in the NHS and for a school locally for disabled young people. She enjoys having a patient centred approach and has a particular interest in care of the elderly.
Dr. Martina Toby

Dr Toby is a dual-trained Consultant Physician in Sexual Health and GP. She holds a certificate in menopause care from the Faculty of sexual and reproductive health and does a monthly menopause clinic at Guys and St Thomas ‘ Hospital in London.
Dr Ali Mahmood

Dr Shams Aljoboori

Main interests are general and acute medicine having worked for many years in hospital in the departments of Internal medicine, Accident and emergency and other acute specialties.
Dr Aljoboori finished her GP training in 2015 where she gained focused training in various other specialties including paediatrics and gynaecology. She then worked as a salaried GP in an NHS surgery for 6 years where she was also involved in the well woman clinics.
Currently she is working in the private sector as a health assessor and private GP. She also works with the NHS as an out of hours GP and as a GP with the Rapid response team in the community (Hospital at home team) looking after unwell care home residents in the aim to provide all the hospital care and treatment at the care homes and reduce acute hospital admissions.
Dr Shin-Young Cho – Consultant Dermatologist

Dr Cho is a fully qualified, UK-trained Consultant Dermatologist. Studied Medicine at the University of Cambridge and Imperial College London, graduating with honours and multiple merits. She also completed a placement in Plastics and Reconstructive Surgery at Harvard University, USA, receiving the top final grade. She then underwent general medical training and specialist dermatology training in leading hospitals in London and the South East of England. She also held the prestigious post of Academic Clinical Fellowship, funded by the National Institute of Health Research (NIHR) and the University of Southampton, to conduct research in skin cancers. Before finishing the rigorous specialisation process to become a Consultant Dermatologist, she was competitively selected to represent the United Kingdom on the respected Euroderm Excellence Diploma programme.
A Consultant Dermatologist in NHS hospitals in Surrey where Dr Cho holds general dermatology and skin cancer clinics, and performs skin surgeries. She consults on all aspects of dermatology including skin cancers, moles, warts, acne, rosacea, eczema, psoriasis, hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating), scars and aesthetics (skin rejuvenation/anti-wrinkle treatments).
Throughout her career, Dr Cho has been actively involved in research and presented her work in numerous national and international conferences as well as publishing in leading scientific journals. She is a member of the key medical and dermatology organisations including the Royal College of Physicians, Royal Society of Medicine, and European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology.
Dr Cho is a dedicated and approachable dermatologist, who continually strives for excellence in all aspects of her work to ensure that she provides outstanding levels of care and achieve the best possible outcomes for her patients.

Dr Vaibhav Verma
Minor Operations Specialist
MBBS, MRCGP, MRCS, MS – Dr Verma is a highly qualified and experienced General Practioner. He specialises in minor operations for skin moles, cyst removal and dermatology.
Dr Verma became a Member of the Royal College of Surgeons (MRCS) of Glasgow in 2005. As part of his extended surgical training, he worked at the Chelsea & Westminster Hospital, London doing Plastics, Hand & Reconstructive Surgery. He is also a Member of the Association of Surgeons in Primary Care (ASPC), taking particular interest in Orthopaedic disorders and in bone and soft tissue injections to alleviate pain and discomfort as well as in diagnosing Sports Injuries and Musculoskeletal Disorders. He operates and removes most types of skin moles and cosmetic lesions. His extensive experience and wealth of training ensure that he is able to provide the highest standards of treatment and care to all his patients.
Kushal Shah
Kushal is a Chartered Physiotherapist and CASE accredited MSK Diagnostic and Intervention Sonographer. Ultrasound guided Joint Injection.
Practicing since 2001, Kushal currently works as an MSK Consultant Physiotherapist in GP practices and Radiology specialising in MSK Diagnostic and Intervention procedures. Kushal has experience in Professional Sports Settings and The Ministry of Defence.
Kushal’s areas of interest include Musculoskeletal, Orthopaedics, Sports medicine and Rheumatology where he combines his skills to provide a high standard of patient care. He is registered with HCPC and a member of CSP, SoR and CASE accredited.
Gurjit Rai-Tidbury
Consultant Sonographer
Registered with the HCPC, BMUS, SOR and IPEM.
Gurjit graduated as a Radiographer from the Kent & Canterbury school of Radiography in 1985, this was followed by a post graduate Diploma in Medical ultrasound from the Central Middlesex Hospital in 1990 and an MSc, from the Open university, in Imaging in Medicine in 2003.
Gurjit has worked for over 30 years in the NHS and private sector as a sonographer.
She has gained extensive experience as a Technical / Project Manager in clinical trials for Sonovue, as well as antiretroviral drug treatments for HIV in the late nineties for the contract research organization Covance. This involved on site assessment of multiple Diagnostic Imaging sites throughout mainland Europe and USA as well as remotely assessing clinical imaging data from Australia and South America. She has also worked with Biogen as an independent auditor of “reading facilities” that analyse clinical trial imaging data.
Gurjit currently works as a substantive Consultant Sonographer in the NHS as well as a technical assessor for UKAS QSI. In addition, she undertakes clinical and academic assessments for trainee sonographers at Kings College university. She has previously managed a busy Imaging ultrasound department within an acute NHS Trust as well as being clinical Lead Sonographer.
Gurjit’s areas of interest and practical experience include general medical, Obstetrics, 3D and 4D ultrasound, early pregnancy, gynaecology, small parts, breast, paediatric, neonatal hips for DDH, vascular, HyCoSy’s, CEUS, FNA, lumps & bumps, hernia, musculoskeletal [MSK] and MSK injections.
Adam Prendergast
Sonographer
Adam graduated from Canterbury Christ Church University with a BSc with honours in Diagnostic Radiography in 1996 and then Post Graduate diploma in medical ultrasound in 1999 at South Bank University. He has been qualified in ultrasound for 19 years with vascular ultrasound as a specialism for 11 years completing a post graduate certificate at Kings College University in 2006. Adam practices all his ultrasound skills: Obstetrics, Gynae, General (Abdominal and pelvic organs), lumps n bumps, hernias with Vascular Ultrasound as his specialism.
Mr Tahir Ali, Vascular Surgeon
Mr Tahir Ali graduated from Leicester Medical School in 1998 and completed his basic surgical training in the West Midlands. Following his MRCS, he was granted a research fellowship at St Thomas’ Hospital where he completed his MS thesis on the mechanisms involved in the resolution of thrombi. This research was presented at the prize session of the American Venous Forum in San Diego, USA.
Mr Tahir Ali completed his higher specialist surgical training on the SouthWest Thames Rotation where he sub-specialised in Vascular and Endovascular Surgery. Following national selection he was able to return to St Thomas’ Hospital as a Cook/Vascular Society Endovascular Fellow. Mr Ali was jointly appointed as a substantive Consultant Surgeon post between Ashford & St Peters NHS Foundation Trust and Epsom General Hospital in July 2010. His published research interests are carotid artery disease, complex aneurysm surgery, venous disease and endovascular surgery.
Peter Athawes
Audiologist
Peter graduated from the University of Southampton in 2009 with a first-class honours degree in Audiology. He then worked for several years in the NHS as a senior Audiologist specialising in the assessment and management of patients with Tinnitus and Hyperacusis and later becoming a Team Lead in Adult Audiology.

Kate Spencer-Jones
Ear Wax Removal Clinician
Kate joined the Team in 2016. Kate’s previous experience was working in the NHS and at Ashford St Peters Hospital for many years as an Ear Wax Removal Clinician.
Kate also enjoys using her skills for chaperoning patients, providing a phlebotomy service and taking swabs.
